We are a factory that happens to do interiors.
Most interior companies are design studios that buy carpentry. We are the other way round — a manufacturing operation with a design and installation team wrapped around it.
Why we exist
Straight edges are a machine problem.
Anyone who has lived through an interior fit-out knows the pattern. Carpenters set up in the living room. The flat fills with dust for six weeks. Shutters are cut by hand, edges are taped by hand, hinge holes are marked by eye. The result mostly works — until a monsoon gets into an unsealed edge, or a wardrobe door starts catching because the carcass was never quite square.
None of that is a failure of skill. It is a failure of tooling. A carpenter with a hand-held saw in an occupied flat cannot hold half a millimetre, and no amount of experience changes that. A panel saw can, every time, without getting tired.
So we built the workshop first: panel saw, automatic edge bander, CNC router, membrane press, spray booth and a QC bay where every unit is assembled once before it is ever loaded onto a truck. Then we added the design team, the site team and the trades — ceiling, paint, civil, electrical — so a client could hand over the whole job instead of coordinating five vendors.
Space Interior today does complete turnkey interiors for homeowners and bulk modular supply for builders and architects. Both run off the same factory floor, to the same tolerance.

Own the manufacturing
Subcontracted carpentry means subcontracted accountability. We bought machines instead so that when something is wrong, it is ours to fix.
Publish the specification
Core material, finish, hardware brand and grade go on the quotation in writing. A vague line item is where the money quietly disappears.
Install with our own team
The people who fit your kitchen are on our payroll, not hired for the week. They have assembled the same units hundreds of times.
Commit to a date
A handover date that moves every month is not a date. Ours goes in the contract, and manufacturing runs in parallel with site work to protect it.

Ali Shaikh started in Pune interiors in 2010 as a site supervisor and has run his own firm since 2014. After a decade of watching identical drawings produce different results depending on which carpenter turned up, he moved the carpentry off site and into a factory. He now runs manufacturing and delivery for Space Interior.
